Early Life and Career

Giovanny Urshela Salcedo was born on October 11, 1991, in Cartagena, Colombia.

He began his professional baseball career in 2010, playing for the Leones de Cartagena in the Colombian Professional Baseball League.

In 2012, he signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians.

Major League Debut

Urshela made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Indians on June 10, 2015.
