Rumsey Succeeds Tom Linebarger, Who Will Retire After 10 Years as CEO

COLUMBUS, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) today announced that effective August 1, 2022, Tom Linebarger will end his term as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Jennifer Rumsey, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Cummins, will become the company's next CEO on August 1, 2022.

Linebarger has served as CEO since 2013. Under his leadership, Cummins has transformed into a global power leader that uniquely offers its customers a broad portfolio of power solutions that best meet their needs. The company has made significant investments in new technologies, including electric and hydrogen-powered solutions, and has expanded its global footprint.

Rumsey joined Cummins in 2000 and has held a variety of leadership roles within the company. She was appointed President in 2018 and COO in 2021. Rumsey is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion and is committed to Cummins' environmental sustainability goals.
